Smile and take a picture

This is a page dedicated to Jim and Dee, who Rv'd for 20 years together.  Dee told us that when things went wrong, instead of getting upset, they would smile and take a picture, and put it in a book to look back upon.  So this page is dedicated to Jim and Dee.  May we have as awesome an experience as they did.

So in honor of Jim and Dee, here's our SMILE moments:

10-10-14

Here's a picture of the locksmith climbing in the passenger window to bust us out of our RV.

This is our first smile and take a picture moment, when Dave and I had the person that sold us the RV come deliver our RV to us in Chehalis, WA.  It was about a four-hour drive for him.  When he got there, I thought it smelled funny, but we decided it was because it was a long drive.  But after an hour and a half, and right before we were to drive the salesman back home, we did one more check-over, and thank goodness we did, because the batteries were overheated and spewing acid!  It all turned out all right, as the salesman went out of his way to buy us new batteries and came back to install them.  But here's our "take a picture" moment.

The second picture was when we were trying to do our first sewer dump.  We barely fit, and when we opened the door to get out, our step scraped the cement.  When we were finally ready to go, we left, and heard the most hellacious sound ever, like our entire back end was being ripped off.  When we stopped to look, we saw we had sheared off the top of the cement island!  Luckily, our step still worked, even though not as well as before.

Stay tuned for more "SMILE" moments!
